HALAL SYMBOL:
The Halal Symbol CANNOT be used for any products containing the following:
1. ANIMAL FATS and OILS whether derived from pig or other animals.
2. RENNET obtained from the liquid substance extracted from pigs. However, rennet produced from plants or microbes is permissible.
3. WHEY. The by-product of cheese making. If the rennet used in clotting milk is from animal source. However, rennet from plants or microbes is permissible as above.
4. GELATINE
5. PEPSIN
6. BETACAROTENE - unless it is water soluble.
7. THE FOLLOWING "E" ADDITIVES:
E120, E140, E141, E153, E160a, E252, E471, E472, E473, E474, E475, E476, E477, E481, E482, E483, 478, 491, 492, 493, 494, 495, 542, 570, 572, 631, 635, 640, 904, 920
Unless of course any of these additives are derived from plants. Note: Any number with no E means that the additive has been approved by the UK, but not yet by the European Community.

The following terms & conditions are valid for ALL information, Goods and Services represented here in the Shopping Mall unless otherwise specified:
1. All goods and services provided by The Halal Consumers Mall are subject to the current UK legislation including the Consumer Credit Act 1984.
2. We reserve the right to decline to produce any material deemed to be unsuitable and to make any alterations we consider necessary so as to maintain our high standards.
3. We reserve the right to decide the correct classification for a page. A page may be reassigned to a new category or a sub heading at a later date.
4. As all our pages and information are published in 'good faith', it does not mean that we endorse or recommend a company/ person/ product/service or information.
5. It is automatically assumed that any graphical material, logos, symbols, charts, or any other material that you submit for inclusion in your pages are yours or that you have obtained the 'OWNERS' permission before the item has been submitted for inclusion.
6. We accept all your material on the strict understanding that you warrant that it does not contravene the provisions in any of the relevant Trade Descriptions Legislation/Acts.
